Who we are
This website, bookedbyemmanuel.com, is run by Emmanuel Eguabor, who designs and builds websites for home service businesses. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Emmanuel Eguabor, and “you” means anyone who visits the site or books a call.
We are responsible for the personal information described here. If you have any question about it, email [email protected].
The short version
- We only collect what we need to answer you, hold your free call and, if we work together, deliver your project.
- We never sell your personal information.
- Bookings are handled by Cal.com. The site is delivered through Cloudflare and hosted with Namecheap.
- We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read and how many people click a booking button. We do not use advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this page first.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- When you book a call: your name, email address, the time you choose, and anything you add in the booking form, such as your business name, website, phone number or notes about what you need.
- When you email us or talk to us on a call: what you choose to share about you and your business.
- If you become a client: the details needed to deliver the project and get paid, such as your business details, content for your website, logins you choose to give us, and billing information.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: when you visit, our hosting and security providers receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page that sent you here, and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Usage data: Google Analytics records how you use the site, such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the buttons you click, the website or ad that sent you here, your approximate location (city or country), and your device and browser type. It does not tell us who you are.
- Cookies: see the cookies section below.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health or financial account details) and ask you not to send it.
How we use your information
- To schedule, prepare for and hold the call you booked, and to send the confirmation and reminders.
- To reply to your questions and send you a proposal or quote you asked for.
- To deliver, support and invoice a project if you become a client.
- To understand how visitors find and use the site, so we can improve it.
- To keep the website secure, prevent abuse and fix technical problems.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We will only send you marketing emails, such as tips or offers, if you have asked for them, and every such email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Our legal reasons for using your information
Where data protection laws require a legal basis (for example the GDPR in the UK and EU, or Nigeria’s Data Protection Act), we rely on:
- Steps before a contract, or the contract itself, when you book a call, ask for a quote or hire us.
- Legitimate interests, such as keeping the site secure, understanding how it is used and replying to business enquiries, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation, for tax and accounting records.
- Consent, for marketing emails, and for analytics cookies where the law requires consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Services we use
We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website. They only process your information to provide their service to us:
- Cal.com runs the booking calendar and stores the details you enter when you book. Their privacy policy is at cal.com/privacy.
- Video call tools such as Google Meet or Zoom, if your booking confirmation uses one, to hold the call.
- Cloudflare delivers the website quickly and protects it from attacks. It processes technical data such as your IP address.
- Namecheap hosts the website and our email.
- Google Analytics (run by Google) measures how visitors use the site. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Search Console shows us how the site appears in Google Search. It uses Google’s own search data, not information about you collected on this site.
- Google Fonts delivers the typeface used on this site. To do this, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.
- Email, document and payment tools we use to talk to clients, share files and send invoices, if you become a client.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site keeps them to a minimum:
- Essential cookies set by Cloudflare to tell real visitors apart from automated attacks.
- Booking cookies set by Cal.com, only when you open the booking calendar, so the calendar works.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (their names start with
_ga). They let us count visits and see how the site is used, and last up to 2 years.
We do not use advertising cookies. If we start to (for example Google Ads or the Meta Pixel to measure our ads), we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before they are set.
To stop Google Analytics measuring your visits on any website, you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as booking, from working.
When we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We only share it:
- with the service providers listed above, so they can run the site and bookings for us;
- if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or yours;
- if the business is reorganised or transferred, in which case your information would stay protected by this policy.
International transfers
Our providers may store or process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep information
- Booking and enquiry details: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, and then as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics, after which Google deletes it automatically.
- Technical logs: for the short periods our hosting and security providers keep them.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Keeping your information safe
We use secure connections (HTTPS), reputable providers, strong passwords and two-factor sign-in where available, and we limit who can access your information. No system is completely secure, so please contact us right away if you think something is wrong.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it or delete it;
- object to or limit how we use it, or withdraw consent;
- ask us to send it to you or another provider in a usable format.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
US residents: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You will not be treated differently for using your privacy rights.
Children
This website is for business owners and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites
This site links to other websites, such as Cal.com. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear on this page.
